If you are an individual with Parkinson’s disease who is also experiencing low back pain in the New York, New Jersey or Connecticut areas, you may be eligible to participate in a study.
Pain is a common symptom in Parkinson’s disease and low back pain is often prevalent in Parkinson’s patients. Current treatments for low back pain in Parkinson’s patients are often ineffective and not well tolerated. The FDA has recently cleared neuromodulation devices for treating pain. Neuromodulation devices are drug-free, minimally invasive and work to provide pain relief by targeting specific nerves.
The goal of this study is to evaluate a new method for relieving pain in Parkinson’s patients with low back pain by stimulating the nerves in the body using a neuromodulation device.
You may be eligible to participate in this study if:
1. You have Parkinson’s disease
2. You are experiencing low back pain.
3. You live in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut.
